چکیده
Context. 55 Cnc e is in a 0.73 day orbit transiting Sun-like star. It has been observed that the occultation depth of this super-Earth, with mass 8 M ? and radius 2 R , changes significantly over time at mid-infrared wavelengths. Observations Spitzer measured change its day-side brightness temperature 1200 K, possibly driven by volcanic activity, magnetic star-planet interaction, or presence circumstellar torus dust. Aims. Previous evidence for variability was infrared range. Here we aim to explore if also exists optical Methods. The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) during sectors 21, 44, 46. We carefully detrended data fitted transit model each sector Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) routine. In later stage, used leave-one-out (LOO) cross-validation statistic compare constant complete set no occultation. Results. report an ± 2.5 ppm TESS observations. particular, 15 4 while 44 detected 46 weak 5 ppm. varies from one next between 1.6 3.4 ? significance. derived possible contribution on reflected light thermal emission upper limit geometric albedo. Based our comparison, favoured considerably occultation, varying across takes most statistical weight. Conclusions. Our analysis confirms detection TESS. Moreover, results weakly lean towards sector, visits.

Improved precision on the radius of the nearby super - Earth 55 Cnc e
We report on new transit photometry for the super-Earth 55 Cnc e obtained with Warm Spitzer/IRAC at 4.5 μm. An individual analysis of these new data leads to a planet radius of 2.21+0.15 −0.16 R⊕, which agrees well with the values previously derived from the MOST and Spitzer transit discovery data. A global analysis of both Spitzer transit time-series improves the precision on the radius of the...
متن کاملStable chaos in the 55 Cnc exoplanetary system ?
The five planets discovered around the main-sequence star 55 Cnc may represent a case of stable chaos. By using both the Frequency Map Analysis and MEGNO we find that about 15 % of the systems that can be build from the nominal orbital elements of the system are highly chaotic. However, in spite of the fast diffusion rate in the phase space, the planetary system is not destabilized over 400 Myr...
متن کاملReal-time Variable Feedrate Parametric Interpolator for Cnc Machining
In modern commercial CAD and systems, a wide variety of part shapes for dies and molds are usually represented in parametric curves (or surfaces) like the Bezier curve, B-spline, and NURBS. However, conventional CNC machines only provide line or circular interpolators. In order to perform the machining of molds, the shapes and desired tool paths designed using CAD/CAM systems are typically appr...
متن کاملAn investigation of the multiple star Zeta Cnc by a lunar occultation
We analyze and discuss a lunar occultation of the multiple star ζ Cnc, obtained in the near-infrared. The longsought D component, recently imaged with the help of adaptive optics also by Hutchings et al. (2000), is clearly seen in the occultation light curve, and we determine its projected separation and brightness ratio with high accuracy. Regarding the suggested binary nature of D, we provide...
متن کاملTwo-dimensional advection-dispersion equation with depth- dependent variable source concentration
The present work solves two-dimensional Advection-Dispersion Equation (ADE) in a semi-infinite domain. A variable source concentration is regarded as the monotonic decreasing function at the source boundary (x=0). Depth-dependent variables are considered to incorporate real life situations in this modeling study, with zero flux condition assumed to occur at the exit boundary of the domain, i.e....
